Performance Unlimited .400 Pro Comp

Battle of the Coopers in the Finals of Performance Unlimited Pro Comp on Saturday. Dave Cooper in his 1976 Corvette took out Sue Cooper and her 1986 Firebird. Sue had the reaction time advantage, and the lead at the stripe but gave away the victory to Dave Cooper when Sue ran 6.416 on her 6.42 dial-in.

RynoTech .500 Open Comp

RynoTech’s Open Comp saw Jay Branning in his 1969 Dart being taken out by Cliff Knechtel in his 1980 Capri. Trying to get the lead off the starting line, Jay lite up the red lights on the Christmas tree and gave away the win to Cliff in Saturday’s Open Comp Finals.

Western Overhead Doors Trophy Comp

In PTRA’s Trophy Comp, we saw Evan Hardie in his 2008 Magnum Hemi taking out Mark Cooper and his 1981 Malibu. The race came down to the 1/4 mile finish line where Evan Hardie was just far enough in front of Cooper to take the stripe and the bragging rights in Saturdays Trophy Comp.

Misener Motorsports Pro Stick Comp

Pro stick comp saw Clint McAdams in his 2004 SRT-4 Neon going up against Gary Leek in his 85 Mustang. This is a new class for 2015, and has broughten quite an exciting twist to the ever growing PTRA. In the finals both racers broke out, with Clint McAdams coming out victorious for the first win in the new Pro Stick Comp category.

Western Overhead Doors Jr. Dragster

Another new class for 2015, the Western Overhead Doors sponsored Junior Dragster class. Saturdays finals saw Natasha Truckle taking on Hunter Lindsay. Racing on a .500 Pro tree, these racers push themselfs on the tree to gain a reaction time advantage. The race was decided on the tree and Natasha came out victorious over Hunter in the first ever PTRA Junior Dragster race.

Perfect Image East vs. West

Sunday saw the return of East vs. West for 2015 with the PTRA’s no rules, 10.5 tire class. Adrian Niedra took out Nick Kokkas in the finals for the huge trophy and bragging rights during Sundays race.

In Sundays Open comp we saw the battles of the Camaros with Drew Buchner going up against Dan Pepper. Both racers are multiple time Red Event winners and always fierce competitors. The win light went to Dan Pepper with just enough reaction time advantage to send Drew home on the trailer.
