QUICK 16

(War In The North Race ONLY)
1/8 Mile
This is a one day race, held July 4th. Qualifying runs and Eliminations to be held – Saturday July 4th only. This Quick 16 format race will be held in conjunction with, and operated by the PTRA and follow the PTRA’s schedule at the War of the North Event. We extend the invitation to all of our competitors to stay the weekend and join the PTRA’s Pro Comp on Sunday July 5th.

Tech cards for QUICK 16 will be available at the PTRA race trailer. $100 per entry.

Based on 16 cars qualified:
1st – $1000
2nd – $600
Semis – $350 each
Quarters – $200 each
1st round lose – $150
Non-qualifiers – will get automatic entry into PTRA Pro Comp and $30 cash.
General
The QUICK 16 class, run during the War of the North, is privileged to be competing as part of the PTRA, with the benefits of the after race awards being extended to include our competitors.
Courtesy staging is in effect – DO NOT TURN ON STAGE LIGHTS UNTIL BOOTH COMPETITORS ARE PRESTAGED or you will be told to back out of the beams and re-enter.
Competitors must comply with NHRA Top Dragster / Top Sportsman / Advance ET Safety Rules and Regulations as per St. Thomas Dragway Park’s rules and regulations.
Maximum dial-in is 5.99-seconds, minimum dial-in 4.35 seconds eighth-mile.
Lane choice – low dial
Series will compete on a Sportsman ladder.
Handicapped start system utilizing a .500” pro tree delay boxes allowed.
Once qualifying has concluded and the tower has produced the ladder, pairings will not be changed. However, should a qualified vehicle and racer be unable to make the first round of eliminations, an alternate will be inserted in his or her place (alternate takes the place of removed competitor, competitors do not move up the ladder).
Double entry – Competitors are allowed to enter other classes during the War of the North event, but must make the call when their respective class is called. In no way will the schedule be altered or delays be tolerated because of a late arrival to the staging lanes.
Participants are expected, at all times, to conduct themselves in a professional and non-disruptive manner consistent with good sportsmanship and QUICK 16/ PTRA’s role as a family-oriented sports organization with events suitable for attendance by all . Any participant who, in the sole and absolute judgment of the Series directors (1) verbally or physically threatens another person; (2) uses vulgar or derogatory language; (3) engages in unsportsmanlike conduct; (4) engages in conduct detrimental to the sport of racing; (5) otherwise creates a condition or circumstance that is unsafe, unfair, or out of order; or (6) otherwise violates any Series rule, regulation or agreement, shall have violated this rule regarding participant conduct and at the discretion of the directors will be disqualified from competition without refund.
